History
The story of Sharpsited could be told as a group of guys who noticed that neither the “Big 5” nor the “new-economy” web development/consulting firms were serving their clients effectively.  Application development projects within Fortune 1000 organizations were rarely on-time and within budget, even though consulting firms staffed their projects with bloated teams of 15+ consultants and budgets of $1+ million.  Although true, this was not entirely the case.

It all started for Mike Jewitt, President, in late 2000 with a little comment made after a previous company's team meeting.  Call it a team meeting, call it a pep rally.   The end result was the same; listen to the owner address issues as to why we were losing clients.  After this meeting, a group of consultants were standing in the parking lot wondering what we should do next.  A comment was made that we should start our own company.  After all, we're doing all of the work anyway.  After the subject was changed, we all went home.

Oddly enough, Mike couldn't stop thinking about that comment.  So, in early 2001 he contacted his brother Chris, another IT professional, with the idea.   Chris was all for it and that was it.  They quickly learned that the talented people they previously worked with had the same ideas on what creating a different kind of web development company would consist of.  This allowed Sharpsited the ability to leverage their resources and still bring their clients the results they expected.  To this day, Sharpsited continues to offer their clients superior service and premium web solutions.
